About

Dr. Boeing was educated in Germany and obtained a Master degree in Business Administration from the University of Cologne in 1984. He finished his Ph.D. with Magna Cum Laude from the University of Cologne, and specialized in Informatics, Economics, and Auditing. At the beginning of his career Winfried was employed by the University of Cologne in the Department of Business Administration and Auditing, and became Assistant Professor and Project Leader for the European ESPRIT initiative, dealing with the introduction of smart cards and highly secure office automation systems. In 1989 he changed to aviation and started working for Lufthansa German Airlines, later being seconded to the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
At IATA, he build up the Internal Audit function, became Head of the Geneva Finance department, and served for seven years as the IATA Chief Auditor, responsible for all Billing and Settlement Plans with over 120 billion US$ in cash settlement. End of 2002 he was promoted to Senior Director Interline Tariffs. October 2003 Winfried left IATA and founded his own company Netflyer. He also was a co-founder of Aircash AG and byJets Sarl, a private-jet company. Since 2005 he works on "Fairquote", the city-pair project he created from scratch. Winfried is active Dean and former Professor of Finance and Accounting at the International University in Geneva. As his special area of expertise in Finance and IT is well known, Winfried is engaged in finance and restructuring projects dealing with innovative systems and future technology, such as dot.bank for ICANN. In 2009, Fairquote Cooperative was born, and Winfried was voted its first President.
Winfried is married and lives in Geneva, Switzerland.
